The Get Up Kids are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their classic, massively influential 1999 album Something To Write Home About this year, and they’re in the midst of a tour where they’re playing that album in full, along with a set of favorites from throughout their discography. They stopped in Brooklyn for a pair of shows at Warsaw over the weekend, where they switched the second set up a bit from Saturday to Sunday. Night one got “One Year Later,” “Stay Gold, Ponyboy,” “Better Half,” “Walking on a Wire,” and “No Love;” night two got “Central Standard Time,” “Mass Pike,” “Overdue,” “Woodson,” and “Shorty;” and both nights got “Campfire Kansas,” “Forgive and Forget,” and “Don’t Hate Me.” You can see pictures from night two by Dimitry Mak, along with both nights’ setlists, below.
The Get Up Kids’ 2024 tour wraps up at Best Friends Forever festival in Las Vegas, and you can see their remaining dates below. They also gave Something To Write Home About an expanded 25th anniversary reissue with a newly remastered version of the album, a second LP with rare and previously unreleased demos from the era, and a 28-page full color booklet.
