They’re all done, laid out, and made beautiful by the design team, but the store aspect – and making sure Kickstarter Backers get theirs cleanly – has to be made perfect. So! On Tuesday, prepare yourself mentally and physically for a pair of tender novellae about Omin and Jim, which is to say “Ominifis Hereward Dran” and “James Winifred Darkmagic The Third.”
Pick your poison, or commingle them in the manner of a Swirl, but your options are:
Acquisitions Incorporated: Initiation, whose cool cover was drawn by Mike Krahulik, and then transformed into what looks like the start of a Young Reader’s Adventure Novel Series by Francisco Villasenor, is about the bad things that can happen to you when you think you’re smarter than other people.
Of course, we also have:
DRANMAGIC: The Incredibly Gay Version of The Acquisitions Incorporated Novel That Might Actually be The Real One, with smouldering cover by Gavin Greco. Done as the result of an errant tweet and designed to honor the most formidable ship in Actual Play History, this book is a testament to just how little you can know about your own work. In a world where Rule 34 exists, I largely assumed that this was just the natural motion of things – they resulted, invariably, in homoerotic smut. Then I started writing the novel – very much a version of the other book, but where every variable is defined differently. Once I’d started in earnest, I understood everything about the ship. It’s a really fun way to read things and there’s a lot of support in the text, if you want it. Shit, there’s support for it in this text – but it won’t require any interpretation. It’s, uh, pretty clear.
Next Tuesday! 7/30! Do like it says on the shirt:
