Ready for takeoff. Apple TV+ has revealed a brand new featurette for the Masters of the Air series, which will be launching on Apple TV+ starting next week. This is looking incredible!! Very excited to dive right in. We already posted the main official trailer back in December, but with the debut next week they’re giving it one final push. Once again produced by Steven Spielberg and Amblin, this 9-episode series tells the story of the airmen of World War II. Focusing specifically on the air men of the 100th Bomb Group (the “Bloody Hundredth”) as they conduct many perilous bombing raids over Nazi Germany and grapple with the frigid conditions, lack of oxygen, and sheer terror of combat conducted at 25,000 feet in the air. A new series from Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman – the producers of Band of Brothers and The Pacific. During WWII, airmen risk their lives – a brotherhood forged by courage, loss, and triumph. The series features a stellar cast led by the Oscar nominee Austin Butler, Callum Turner, Anthony Boyle, and Nate Mann, who are joined by Raff Law, Barry Keoghan, Josiah Cross, Branden Cook, and Ncuti Gatwa. They also got Tom Hanks to talk in this video as part of the promotion, which is cool to see. Check it out below.

Masters of the Air follows the men of the 100th Bomb Group (the “Bloody Hundredth”) as they conduct perilous bombing raids over Nazi Germany and grapple with the frigid conditions, lack of oxygen, and sheer terror of combat conducted at 25,000 feet in the air. Portraying the psychological & emotional price paid by these young men as they helped destroy horrors of Hitler’s Third Reich, is at the heart of Masters of the Air. Some were shot down & captured; some were wounded or killed. And some were lucky enough to make it home. Regardless of individual fate, a toll was exacted on them all. Masters of the Air is a series created by writer John Orloff (Band of Brothers, A Mighty Heart, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, Anonymous, The Last Vermeer). Based on Donald L. Miller’s book of the same name. Episodes directed by Anna Boden, Ryan Fleck, Cary Joji Fukunaga, Dee Rees, & Tim Van Patten. Executive produced by Steven Spielberg through Amblin Television, and Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman for Playtone. Amblin Television’s Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey co-executive produce alongside Playtone’s Steven Shareshian. In addition to writing, Orloff co-executive produces. Graham Yost is also co-executive producer. Apple will debut Masters of the Air streaming on Apple TV+ starting January 26th, 2024 early next year. Who’s in?
