Blake Lively Admits Ryan Reynolds Wrote This Iconic ‘It Ends With Us’ Scene (Exclusive)
Oops!… Blake Lively did it again.
The Gossip Girl alum stunned on the red carpet alongside husband Ryan Reynolds for the New York City premiere of her movie It Ends With Us on Aug. 6 in a look that took inspiration from none other than Britney Spears.
As for how her ‘fit paid tribute to legendary pop star? Blake rocked the same gown—adorned with green, pink and purple jewels and a gorgeous blue one-shoulder strap detail—that Britney wore to Versace’s Spring/Summer fashion show in Milan back in 2002. And to complete her twinning moment, the 36-year-old opted for a few silver statement rings and wore her blonde hair in long loose waves similar to how the “Toxic” singer originally styled her own locks.
And the honor of wearing an iconic Britney look was not lost on Blake.
“Britney, us millennials all have a story of a moment, or of years, that you made us want to shine and inspire awe, with strength and joy and immensely hard work,” the A Simple Favor actress wrote in an Aug. 6 Instagram Story alongside a throwback photo of the singer wearing the ensemble. “Thank you for your example and your contribution to women telling their stories.”
