Gypsy Rose Blanchard‘s estranged husband Ryan Anderson is speaking out.
The 38-year-old ex of the 33-year-old former inmate, who is now with boyfriend Ken Urker, said during a TikTok livestream on Saturday (August 10) that he has to take a DNA test as part of the procedure to establish paternity for separated couples who are still married under Louisiana state law.
The news comes just after Gypsy Rose and Ken revealed they are expecting a baby girl together.

“I have to get a DNA test. I don’t have a choice,” he said, via People. “… I hate being in this situation.”
“I have to take a DNA test for court,” he explained. “The way the timeline matches up — I don’t think it’s mine, but I don’t know. The DNA test is going to prove it. Crazier things have happened. I just don’t know. I have my thoughts and I have my opinions.”
“You love Ken? Good for you. I’m glad that community loves Ken. Good for that. But hopefully if you are here with me, you are team Ryan,” he said during his livestream.
“I’m always going to have love for [her],” Ryan added on his livestream.
“She was my wife and I did marry her, you know?…If anyone is going to bash her, it should be me. I just don’t get the hate … If I can overlook it and accept the way things are. If I’m not bashing her, why ya’ll need to?”
Gypsy Rose filed for divorce from Ryan, whom she married in 2022 while in prison, in April. She and Ken announced that they’re expecting their first baby together in early July.
A Louisiana attorney confirmed to People in July thatscould be listed as the father on the baby’s birth certificate if the baby is born before their divorce is finalized.
If Ken wants his name on the birth certificate, Ryan must sign an affidavit saying Ken is the father. If not, Ken has to file a motion with the courts and the three of them will have to take a DNA test over the child.
If DNA results prove that Ken is the father, his name will officially replace Ryan‘s name on the birth certificate as the baby’s father.
