Daily Roundup 8/23 – Big Brother Eviction Night & Brooklyn’s Plea To The House, DWTS Names Their First Contestant (Back Pat), Nick Viall Is At It Again, & A High School Principal Gets Put On Admin Leave For Pep Rally Incident

? You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality Steve podcast. I’m your host, Reality Steve. Thank you all for tuning in on this Friday. Good show. Heading into the weekend, we’re going to talk about what happened on Big Brother last night. Can’t say I’m too surprised, but there are some other things that I want to talk about in terms of what’s happened the last few days.

Dancing with the stars. We have our first contestant. And it’s one I told you about three weeks ago, just by using logic. I didn’t know any spoilers or anything. I nailed it. Pretty happy with that one. You know who I haven’t talked about on this podcast in a while, because there’s been no reason to, he hasn’t put his foot in his mouth until yesterday.

Nick Vial. And I’m going to briefly go over it. I’m not going to spend a ton of time on this and a high school principal in California is kind of a dirty man. I’m sure you’ve seen this story by now. If you haven’t. We’re going to talk about it. We’ll get to all that momentarily. Let’s talk eviction night on big brother last night.

Can’t say any of us should be surprised at what happened. Tucker’s target was Brooklyn. Brooklyn did not win BBA arena. Therefore Tucker’s target goes home. You know why? Because Tucker is running this game. Think what you want about Brooklyn. Everything she said when she was campaigning for herself was true.

You all are playing for second place Keep me here. I’m a target now so if I’m a target that means you aren’t and He is running this game. He is going to win this game And if you don’t do anything about it, you’re all going home one by one as I mentioned yesterday Sixth Avenue is gonna have to turn on Tucker at some point Maybe they didn’t want to do it now.

Maybe they don’t do it next week. Maybe they’ll do it the week after but they’re gonna have to turn on him at some point because They’re seeing he’s running the game. Did you see the clip circulating on the internet? Apparently Tucker and Rubina had sex. I mean, I saw it on Twitter. It was 21 seconds from a black light in the bedroom.

And Tucker is on top of a woman who clearly is Rubina and he was thrusting up and down. I thought they cut the feeds when it got to that point. Like once he rolled over and got on top, I figured the feeds would go out, but it was clear as day what was happening. So yeah, now could I see all their clothes off underneath the covers?

No, maybe they were dry humping. I don’t know, but I tend to believe they weren’t. And yeah, so look, they’ve been spending all the time together. He’s clearly. Into her. He’s been into her for a while now, but it looks like they consummated their relationship with that clip that I saw a couple of other things that I wanted to bring up.

This has always been funny to me. And look, it’s just sometimes the way people pronounce certain words. And this one has been happening since I’ve been alive. And I, and I don’t know if it’s just certain people aren’t good with their L’s. And maybe it is some form of speech impediment, but when Brooklyn says the word W O L F, she says wolf.

I’ve always pronounced it wolf because that’s what it is. It’s wolf. So maybe she can’t pronounce her L’s correctly. I don’t know, but she’s not the only one. There are plenty of people that say the word wolf and pronounce it wolf. And I’ve never understood it. That isn’t the pronunciation of W O L F, but I’ve heard it so many times.

And I’m like, okay, it must be a thing and it must be something to where they just cannot fully enunciate their L’s. But yeah, unless she’s saying it fast. And she’s just kind of glossing over the L and it’s just like, well, and then she sounds like a dog. So I don’t really understand, but yeah, I’m sure some of you listening right now, no people who their whole lives have pronounced W O L F is wolf.

And I don’t, I’ve never understood that because I feel like they pronounce L’s in other words. Like, I don’t think every single word that has an L, they don’t pronounce it, so that’s what I’ve never understood. But hey, maybe I’m missing, missing the boat here on something. And obviously, you know how I feel about Tucker this season, I just don’t really like his gameplay and he’s doing things just to be a character on TV.

And it was kind of apparent on Wednesday night. And it’s just feeding more of my thoughts about him, which is making that big speech before his power of veto and deciding to save Quinn. He’s like, I’m about to turn the game upside down. It’s about to get real uncomfortable. And it’s like, okay. So he told people what the collective and the Pentagon were.

Okay. It’s like, I think most people in the house already knew who was in the collective and who was in the Pentagon. So he, he’s just. So boisterous about things and wants to show everybody like I’m the man and look at me, hell, even when Brooklyn was pleading before she sat down on the couch to give her final speech, when she was telling everybody, look, you’re playing for second place, he’s going to win comps.

And I’m coming, you know, I’m a target and you know, Tucker’s sitting there mumbling under his breath. Oh, I’ll win it. I’ll, I’ll win it again next week. Like, look, I understand there’s a difference between confidence and cockiness, he is cocky. Cocky to a point where it’s a major, major turnoff. And, and it’s crazy because there are certain people, obviously there’s a lot of the internet that likes him and I’m not saying you’re not allowed to like him, I’m just saying he’s not my cup of tea and he never will be.

And it’s not because he wins a bunch of comps. Because I, this is going to sound like I’m taking away his comp victories, but I’m sorry, nobody in that house is any good at comps. There’s not anybody that’s a threat to him. At least in past seasons, you always had two, three, four people that you’re like, okay, they’re really good and they can win any comp.

I don’t think anyone in that house can win a comp up against him. I really don’t, obviously there are some that have been won against him, but maybe I should change it to if it’s physical or if it’s timed, he’s winning it over everybody or some sort of maze. Well, those are usually timed anyway, but you know what I mean?

I just think they, these competitors are some of the worst comp competitors we have ever seen. Some of them are good socially. I’ll give them that, but they are some of the worst competitors. And I think that played into. Him winning six of the last nine comps that he participated in or six of the last nine comps overall if let’s just say jag and Jackson Mitchie and Some other comp bees from past season.

We’re all on this season. Would he have won? Six of the last eight comps he competed in? Probably not. I do think there is a factor of, he just doesn’t have a lot of strong competition against him. Not taking away from his wins, he’s still got to win them. And he’s winning them in dominant fashion. But I also think it’s dominant because the people he’s going up against literally suck at comps.

And one final thing I want to say about Big Brother. Have you seen the four eliminatees before Brooklyn? I’m sure Brooklyn’s going to join in. Matt, Lisa, and Kenny. And Cedric. I mean, I’m just scrolling through TikTok and I’m seeing all these different lives that they do. Has this always been a thing with people that finished in 15th and 16th place?

That they’re doing interviews and they’re doing, going live on Tik TOK and watching the episodes I saw. And you know, Matt from this season is now buddy, buddy with Matt from last season. They’re probably going to start a podcast together. I mean, the amount of brain cells in that podcast might be struggling to reach double digits.

I just, it’s just, do we really need a podcast with those two mats? The 16th place finisher from this season and the second place finisher from last season, just because they’re both bros. Like I saw a Tik Tok of both Matt’s watching the POV or the BBA arena from last week. The one that MJ won and obviously Matt likes MJ and he wants to be with her when the show is over, but it’s so performative and it’s so it was so spliced up and he’s totally overreacting to her winning.

Yes, it was a very close battle. In fact, everybody thought she was losing and thought Robina was going to win, but she got in there like a half a second. She. Touched the button before Rubina did by like a half a second and Matt and Matt and Matt from this season It’s just going crazy in the video Let’s go.

Let’s go by the way Brings me off on another tangent Can we get rid of the phrase everyone from about 18 years old to 28 years old when you’re pumped up about something? Saying let’s go. When did that become a thing? Everything is let’s go. Let’s fucking go. I don’t know. Can we think of something else? I feel like everybody says that and everybody says that all doing the same thing.

And I’m like, Oh God. I mean, Matt, in that video that I saw, it was literally like 10 times with Mackenzie winning. It’s like, dude, she can’t see you. She’s in the house. I know you want with her after the show. But he’s just trying so hard. It’s like man, you are gonna be so irrelevant to this season once this thing is over Nobody’s gonna care about you You finish sixth in 16th place, you know Yeah, Angela did him dirty and I still still think Angela is basically a mean girl and a bully but he is just Every single time he can hop on a live and talk about You Everybody in the house.
