Daily Roundup 11/22 – An Update On My Dad’s Surgery, Yesterday’s Podcast Interviews, Survivor Votes Out A Threat, Josh On The Challenge Gets Boat Raced, & What I’m Doing Today

You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality Steve podcast. I’m your host, Reality Steve. Thank you all for tuning in on this Friday. I got an update on my dad. We are going to talk a little bit about the two interviews from yesterday with Ricky Wise and also with Rachel Juarez.

Watched Survivor and Challenge from Wednesday night. Didn’t get a chance to talk about them yesterday due to the interview with Rachel. So I’ll have comments about those and what I’m going to do today. We’ll get to all that momentarily. So I want to thank everybody who reached out after Tuesday’s podcast.

Tuesday’s podcast about my dad going into surgery. He had successful surgery. It actually got pushed back a day and ended up being yesterday morning. Saw him last night. He’s a good spirit. So he knows what he has to do going forward and he will be in the hospital for, I think another day or two. And then he’s going to a rehab facility and we’ll be there until, I don’t really know how it works, but.

He, surgery was successful. I was getting text updates from the doctor during it. And then the doctor called me afterwards. And, saw my dad tonight. He’s got a giant splint down his whole left leg. And, basically they will start rehab. Physical therapy at the hospital he’s in right now for the next couple days, and then he’ll go to an actual rehab facility where he’ll get PT probably two to three times a day, and then he’ll get released I guess when they feel he’s better But I can’t remember if I said this on Tuesday My dad’s got one of those apartments where right when you walk in the door you got to go up steps So that’s going to be a challenge and there’s no way he’s going to be able to live back in that apartment until he can walk up steps.

And I don’t know what the recovery time is for a torn quad muscle, but I can’t imagine it’s going to be anytime soon. Now, I’m sure once he builds up strength, he’ll be able to walk, he’ll be able to get in and out of a car, but walking with a, with a, with a walker, they told him to ditch the crutches, he will be using a walker going forward, and getting in and out of a car is different than, oh by the way, when I went to my dad’s apartment to pick up some things for him, 17 steps you gotta walk up before you get to the living area of his apartment.

So yeah, I, I don’t know how it works. There’s no way the rehab facility is going to be like, Well, you’ve been here two weeks, you’ve been here three weeks. Just go back to your apartment, figure it out on your own. Like, that’s not happening. So, I guess they keep him there until they feel he can walk on his own.

I don’t know how that stuff works, but he knows what he has to do. And he’ll be going to rehab, I think, sometime this weekend. So, thank you to all those who reached out and said a prayer and whatnot. Surgery was successful. Everything was great. And just on the road to recovery now. Yesterday, I wanted to talk about the two interviews that we did.

One of them was both on, obviously my weekly podcast that shows up in your podcast feed, but also on YouTube. Please go to the YouTube channel, leave a comment, watch, subscribe, like it. So many things to do with YouTube. And it looks like a lot of you liked having Ricky on and I thought she was great. And I actually started listening to Tyler’s interview with that guy.

Lateris, is that his name? And I got through about 20 to 25 minutes and I shut it off. I almost feel like I’m watching the male version of Laura Owens when I listen to Tyler talk. Just no accountability for anything. Seemingly he is lying or not giving you the full story when he tells his side of things.

And it just seemed like a bunch of bullshit. I mean, Rikki basically said it. She watched the interview. It’s like, it was nothing but lie after lie after lie. I lasted about 20, 25 minutes. I’m like, I’m done with this guy. He really doesn’t seem to understand the magnitude of everything and throw everything out, throw everything out.

Hell. You might even think, I don’t believe for a second that he truly believes that Bri and her ex wife literally cryogenically froze his sperm and implanted it in themselves to start a family without his knowledge. There’s no way that happened. You heard Ricky say it yesterday on the podcast. It’s like, come on.

Do you know what type of equipment they would have to have to do that? It’s not happening. So the fact that he’s standing behind that, like, no. We didn’t have the twins because I had sex with her. They kept my sperm. Just like when I was going back and forth with Laura Owens on email last year, the things that she was telling me, I just said, I don’t believe this.

This isn’t believable. Everything that she wrote me seemed to be a lie. It was speaking in generalities. She never went into details. She never answered any questions, specific questions that I had for her. And I felt like that’s what I was getting with Tyler on that interview that I watched. It was just bad.

And. When it all comes down to it, the bottom line at the very end of the day, that guy asked him, what do you want out of all this? He said, I just want them to have their family and I don’t want to be part of it. Leave me out of it. I just, I just don’t understand how he doesn’t understand. He is the father of those children.

I, if he’s that delusional to think that, well, those twins aren’t really mine because they saved my sperm and it didn’t happen through sex. I guess you can’t really get through to somebody who has that type of thinking about the whole process, but come on, man, pay your child support. It’s not that hard.

Do your due diligence as a father. Don’t be part of their lives. Don’t ever see the kids again. If you don’t want to. Do I agree with that? Not necessarily. No, I don’t. But if that’s what he chooses to do, okay then, but. You have an obligation to pay until they’re 18. Do that. But to completely cut kids out of your life, kids that you admitted to seeing six to seven times a week for six months straight.

And now to just say, I don’t want them in my life. I don’t want to be a part of that. The least you can do is pay child support. And it doesn’t look like he’s going to come around on that. He probably will be eventually forced to pay, but the fact that you have to be forced to pay For children that you conceived.

It’s just a sad story all around. What isn’t a sad story is when Rachel Juarez comes on the podcast. I want to thank everybody who reaches out after Rachel comes on and says, thank you for having her on. She explained it so easily. I understand it better. I am pretty proud of the fact that I got Rachel turned on to this case.

Because when she first came to me to talk about the Devon stuff, she just knew the case as probably like a lot of people on the outside. Oh, isn’t that a case where that one girl accused one of the bachelor guy, I’m getting her pregnant. Like that was, I think her basis of knowledge back when we had her on a month ago, now she’s immersed in everything and she reads all the filings she leads or she reads all the motions and.

You heard her on the podcast yesterday. She’s like, I cannot believe it. Not just necessarily the, not just the content of this story and how crazy it is, but all of the legal things that have been filed, she’s just shaking her head. She’s like, I’ve never seen this. This is a woman who is a family law attorney for years.

She says she’s never seen anything like it. And that’s why Dave and I mostly Dave, but I’ve been saying it when I do talk about this case over the last 15 months, I’m saying like, I understand it’s a lot. I’ve understand that there’s been so many twists and turns, and it really is impossible to know every detail about this case, unless you have followed it since September of 2023, but it is by far, I remember Dave and I were saying this last September, before we even knew about Greg Gillespie, before we even knew about Mike Maracchini.

We were saying, this is one of the craziest stories, if not the craziest story in Bachelor Nation history. I remember us saying that last September, and look at what has happened since then. It has beaten that by a hundredfold. And it really has. Because of the twists and turns, because of the craziness that has happened with Laura, with faked sonograms, neurologists, notes.

It’s just, I can go down the laundry list of things. The Planned Parenthood lie, the Fiverr photo. It just goes on and on and on. And it, it really is truly amazing what this case has turned into. And there really isn’t, I mean, Gingras is going to post videos on YouTube. Maybe we’ll, you know, we’ll touch on some here and there.

But every single video that he posts, we’re not going to have a reaction to. Dave will definitely cover that. Lauren will cover it. The tilted lawyer guy, he’ll cover it. I don’t do it daily because I’ve just not as immersed in it. And I don’t know all the details, but. If Gingras says something totally out of left field, like comparing Dave to Alex Jones and stuff like that, yeah, I’ll have a comment about that, or two, or ten.

Going forward, right now all we’re doing is a waiting game for Clayton’s legal team, the Woodnick firm, to respond to Gingras appellate brief. And they have, I think until beginning of January, it was December 24th, but Jinger said he would extend it. So they aren’t working all the way up until Christmas Eve, but that’s probably the next thing that we will go over outside of a few comments here and there on something that Jinger puts out, or maybe Laura puts out this podcast brought to you by way it’s okay.
