Say ‘hello’ to Hollywood! Billy Joel put on a show-stopping performance for a sold-out crowd for his one night only concert at the newly opened Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California on Saturday, Oct. 12.
The singer started off the night by playing his hit songs including “Vienna”, “Don’t Ask Me Why”, “New York State of Mind” and more, before bringing out his first surprise guest of the evening, John Mayer.
Mayer joined Joel to perform “This Is The Time”, where the “Daughters” singer wowed the audience with a guitar solo.
Axl Rose then took the stage with Joel to sing an energetic cover of “Live and Let Die” by Paul McCartney and Wings.
Joel’s final guest of the evening was his daughter, Della Rose, 9, whom he shares with wife, Alexis Roderick, for a duet of “My Life.”
Next, Joel performed fan-favorites like “Scenes From an Italian Restaurant” and “Piano Man” before an encore, where he hyped up concert-goers with “We Didn’t Start the Fire”, “Uptown Girl”, “It’s Still Rock and Roll to Me” and “Big Shot.”
The musician closed out the night with his classic, “You May Be Right.”
Joel’s next show is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 25 in San Antonio, Texas, and the Intuit Dome is set to host the L.A. Clippers vs. Dallas Mavericks preseason game on Monday, Oct. 14.
