This week on the Pure Nintendo Podcast, Jemma, Kirk and Trev ask the tough questions! We talk about the new Tomb Raider collection, dissect the latest financial news from Nintendo, and discuss just what makes a good demo.
Last week, we chatted about the Mario Vs. Donkey Kong demo, which is surprisingly short! This week, there’s a demo for the upcoming Promenade, a colorful puzzle-platformer that we’re reviewing. This leads to a fun discussion about what makes a good demo. We talk about the pros and cons of long and short demos, including the likes of Sea of Stars and Pikmin 4.
We also take a look at the recent news of a Godzilla crossover with the fantastic Dave the Diver. This DLC is due out in May – though not confirmed for the Switch, we assume and hope it will make its way to us as well. It’s an interesting premise, and we can’t wait to see how on Earth Dave interacts with the king of mosnters.
We do a deep dive into the new Tomb Raider collection. Kirk seems to be enjoying his time with it so far, and it stirs memories for both him and Trev. We get into the graphics, mechanics and more.
We also look at the games we’re playing this week, from Sea of Stars to Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster. Plus Jemma gives a run down of the oddly titled Golfinite, while Kirk breaks down the upcoming Tomb Raider I-III Remastered.
