Love is Blind Season 4: The Real Reason Zack Goytowski Dumped Irina Solomonova
Zack Goytowski put off some admittedly strange vibes on Love is Blind Season 4 episodes. He said bizarre things to the women including that he worked as a male stripper and lived under a bridge. But beneath the weirdness is a genuinely sweet guy.
Bliss Poureetezadi saw that but Irina Solomonova seemed more like she was staking a claim than legitimately falling for him. And it was clear from their face-to-face meeting, that they were doomed.
But things just kept getting worse. Zack Goytowski really opened up about his troubled childhood and thought he’d found his person in Irina Solomonova. But it looks like he might have found real bliss if only he’d chosen Bliss Poureetezadi…
How it Started with Zack, Bliss, and Irina on Netflix Series
In the Love Is Blind pods, Zack was caught between two women — Bliss and Irina. The choice seemed obvious to viewers — sweet Bliss was the epitome of good wife material. She baked Zack cupcakes for his birthday and radiates kindness.
Irina, however, quickly earned a reputation as one of the season’s she-villains, along with Micah Lussier. Meanwhile, Irina didn’t even remember Zack’s birthday. Then, to add insult to injury, she tried to talk Bliss out of a candle after mocking her cupcakes.
Bliss Poureetezadi didn’t hand it over. After Bliss revealed to Zack Goytowski how Irina Solomonova behaved when with the women, he could have made a better choice. “You’re right that you know her in a different way,” Bliss tells Zack in the pods.
She added, “I see her in capacities that you don’t. You see her in capacities that I don’t. I just see things that aren’t good.” But, Irina Solomonova got his ring on Love Is Blind. And Bliss was sent home without an engagement.
How it Ended with Irina & Zack on Love Is Blind
When Zack Goytowski and Irina Solomonova met in person, it was painfully obvious she wasn’t into him. Then, she called him “creepy” and said he looks like a cartoon character who needs to blink more. To make matters worse, she rejects his kiss.
Irina tells the cameras, “I thought he would be a little more normal.” Their Mexico vacation is equally disastrous. There, Irina actively avoids Zack — both emotionally and physically. And she and the other mean girls said harsh things about him on Love Is Blind.
In the end, Zack’s appalled by Irina when she finally let her true colors shine. She stunned him when she admitted it’s Paul Peden she wants. That’s despite Paul being engaged to her pod bestie (and fellow mean girl) Micah!
So, he told her he didn’t want to move forward and called it off. And Irina Solomonova admitted in one of their final talks that she almost dumped him after their first face-to-face meeting.
Then, in a Love Is Blind first, the cameras kept rolling as Zack Goytowski decided to go back and try to correct the mistake he made. He still wants Bliss! He even told his fiancee that he’d been non-stop thinking about Bliss Poureetezadi during the whole trip.
Irina’s Side of the Story – Is She Really the Villain Netflix Makes Her Out to Be?
In a recent interview revealed on Today, Irina Solomonova said, “I just feel like me and Zack weren’t meant to be.” And she insisted “It wasn’t anything about his looks or anything like that. It was more of a gut feeling that he wasn’t the person for me.”
Despite that statement, Irina made more than a handful of comments about her fiance Zack Goytowski’s looks. As did some of her pals. Like when Jackie calls Zack “a weirdo” and said Irina is a “peasant”. And Jackie also said Zack said “dumb sh*t for no reason”.
Clearly, they didn’t get him. As for her rivalry with Bliss Poureetezadi.., Zack Goytowski’s Love Is Blind ex said, “Me and Bliss didn’t have the best moments in the lounge, but I have absolutely no harsh feelings towards her.”
Sometimes it feels like producers do a villain edit. And sometimes it seems no edit needed — there are just not-so-nice people that make it onto the show. You can surely think of a few from seasons past.

In fact, Irina encouraged Zack to pursue Bliss after they split. Meanwhile, the Seattle lawyer said, “I have not talked to Irina since Mexico. She sent me text messages, but I honestly never responded to any of them.”
While Petty Betties Jackie, Micah, and Tiffany said, “Bliss dodged a bullet” while chuckling like harpies, it seems it might be the other way. Most Love Is Blind fans think it’s Zack Goytowski that dodged it by dumping Irina in Mexico and making a bold move.
Love is Blind Never-Before-Seen Twist: Zack’s Shocking Pursuit of Bliss in Blindside Moment
On the last night in Mexico, Zack and Irina Solomonova talked more and he said “they’re on the same page” that it won’t work out. But they still had to stay in the same room one last time. And she said she didn’t want to sit by him on the plane home.
But she also interrupted him and was rude (yet again) on Love Is Blind. She was dismissive but admitted, “I’m literally treating you so poorly”. She said “I’m a complete jerk to you and you don’t deserve that.”
He clapped back and said it was horrible sleeping in bed with her and said she didn’t really try. Zack Goytowski laughed when Irina admitted she was hot for Paul. He said she’ll break up all the relationships.
Then, the viewers get a blindside moment that will leave many cheering. Because Zack Goytwoski made a beeline for Bliss Poureetezadi once he was back in Seattle.
In the last few moments of Love Is Blind Episode 5, Zack’s thrilled to meet up with Bliss Poureetezadi in the Pacific-Northwest. They sit and he tells her “I made the wrong choice.”
As the episode ends, she sighs as he adds, “you know I did and I do too.” So, will we see them get engaged and move into the couples’ apartment in Seattle? Maybe. We’ll let you know.
